Operation GQ day 1827

5K Run tonight. Week # 261 – Year # 5 – Looking back exactly 5 years ago, I would have never thought in a million years that I would still be blogging about my weight-loss. It’s not longer a weight-loss really. I don’t need to lose or gain weight. I have nothing to prove to anyone including myself.

The only thing that I want to make it a point is that a quick fix is what it is… a quick fix! If you truly want to be fit and healthy in the long run, then learn to eat and sleep well, exercise on a regular basis, and surround yourself with people who can assist you accomplish those goals.

I have heard and seen too many failed attempts over the last 5 years. They all had this in common: A quick fix, stubborn mind, and did it for cosmetic reasons only. To truly succeed, you have to love what you’re doing, and that goes towards anything in life! I don’t run because I am forced to run. I run because I love being outside and breathe fresh air. I don’t lift because I want to be the next Mr. Olympia. I lift because I love breaking a major sweat and get that soreness feeling after a good session.

Like I’ve said many times, not everyone will be able to succeed. Some will fail. Some will do as well as I did. And some will do 10 times better. But one thing that should always never change is to NEVER QUIT when you’re failing. If you quit, then why bother in the first place?
